After a career in nursing, Eleanor retired to Blind Bay with her husband in 1994. She began painting in 1998, and started with the watercolour medium and then on to acrylic. Over the years, she has attended numerous workshops with very accomplished artists, which have been helpful and inspirational. She finds both mediums to be a challenge in their own specific ways, but has concentrated on acrylic in the past few years. Eleanor enjoys painting still life, and is a member of the Blind Bay Painters. She has shown work at the Blind Bay Art Show and the Shuswap Lake Festival of the Arts.
